Bradford Ice Arena

Hire the Ice Arena

Run a group? Holding a party? Want to skate without the crowds? Bradford Ice Arena is available to hire on Saturday and Sunday evenings, between 5pm and 6.30pm.

The cost is £330 for entry for the first 100 skaters, numbers over 100 will be charged skate hire prices.

We require a £100 deposit, which will be taken on the day of the booking and deducted from the total cost. This is non-refundable and non-transferable.

The cost includes skate hire for all skaters and use of the coffee shop, we also provide ice stewards if required. A DJ can be hired at a price of £80 for the 1.5 hours (please state at the time of booking if you require one).

Bradford Ice Arena

over 55 years old!

In January 1966 Mecca Leisure Limited opened the ice rink in Bradford under the name of the Silver Blades Ice Rink, it was reputed to be “The finest rink in the world”, with coloured lighting in the barriers, sparkling chandeliers over the ice, and a plush bar and restaurant. The resplendently dressed skaters were entertained with organ music. The opening gala at the rink had performances by British skaters who had just returned from the World Championships, they included Sally Anne Stapleford, John Curry and ice dancers Bernard Ford and Diane Towler.
